Two point perspective boxes

Two Point Perspective

Learning about drawing perspectives was interesting. There’s one-point perspective, where lines converge at a single vanishing point. Then, there’s two-point perspective, which involves two vanishing points. There’s also three-point perspective, but that’s significantly more advanced.

My professor focused on two-point perspective. For our assignment, we had to draw several boxes above and below the horizon line and shade them appropriately, assuming the light source was coming from the top left corner. Each box needed three distinct values unless it was on the horizon line. I completed the assignment on gray paper, using a white charcoal pencil to emphasize the lightest values and to create contrast above and below the horizon line.

Overall, this was one of my favorite assignments. I found it easy to follow, and I think the end result turned out well.
